Ben Sappington | Board President & Big Brother to Jordin, Age 12
Director of Regional Prosperity, Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce
Ben has been a part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lane County since fall of 2009. Ben serves as a mentor to 12 year old Jordin along with his Board responsibilities. During the day, Ben leads the economic development efforts for the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce through its Regional Prosperity Initiative. Ben also serves on the board of United Way of Lane County and Bridgeway House.

Caroline Cummings | Immediate Past President & Big Sister to Whitney, Age 21
VP of Marketing, Palo Alto Software
Caroline relocated to Eugene from Philadelphia in April 2004. Shortly after, she became a mentor to a thirteen-year old female youth through BBBS of Lane County. Caroline has co-founded two technology companies here in Eugene, and served as the CEO for both companies. Her passion is mentoring, and attributes her success to having great mentors. She strongly believes everyone should mentor and be mentored.

Vicki is the team leader for business development in Lane County. As a professional, Vicki collaborates with many local businesses, with a specialty in the dental and health care niches. Vicki has served on multiple boards and committees and looks forward to working with the BBBS board and staff to increase community awareness and participation in the mission of mentoring children.

Darby consults with nonprofit organizations, businesses, and professional firms. Her breadth of experience and knowledge gives her flexibility and creativity in working with clients to solve problems, create focus, and design plans. Darby has been on the BBBS Board of Directors since June 2012.

Greg Gibson | Board Member & Big Brother to Anthony, Age 7
Staff Accountant, Moss Adams, LLP
Greg joined the board of directors in February 2012, five months after becoming a big brother to seven year old Anthony. Greg enjoys playing sports, traveling, outdoor activities, and volunteering within the community. Greg has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Accounting from Washington State University. He is excited at the prospect of helping lead a great organization, with a terrific mission, to new heights in the coming years.

Jill joined the Big Brothers Big Sister board in October 2010. She currently owns the Sylvan Learning Center in Eugene where she teaches students to read, write and do arithmetic. Jill believes in mentoring having been mentored as high school student inMichigan.

Linda is a Louisiana Cherokee Tribal. Linda has worked in the field of Corrections for 25 years, supervising convicted felons in the State of Oregon. Linda’s passions are Equity, Excellence and Opportunity. She volunteers on several Boards and Commissions as a community member. Linda takes to heart that it is up to the community to contribute to a safe, healthy, livable community environment and atmosphere. Linda joined BBBS 2012, because she strongly believes in no child being left behind.
